NICE GUIDELINES DECEMBER 2020 - VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY

To prevent Vitamin D deficiency all Children and young people in the UK should be advised to take a daily supplement containing 400 units of Vitamin D. Children should take 340 – 400units throughout the year including winter months and all pregnant and breasting feeding mothers.

 

You can get Vitamin D from:

 

Egg Yolks

Margarine

Oily Fish

Sunshine.

Supplements can be purchased from your local pharmacy
